Is SugarPay affiliated with Square?
No. SugarPay.io is an independent Square Reseller — we sell Square's payments products to merchants and build software on top of Square's public APIs. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Block, Inc. or Square, Inc.
Who actually processes my payments?
Card payments are processed by Square (a Block, Inc. company) under your Square account. Funds settle directly to your linked Square bank account on Square's standard payout schedule. SugarPay never holds your money.
Is there a contract or cancellation fee?
No long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. If you cancel mid-cycle on a paid plan, you keep access until the end of the billing period.
How do you handle my data?
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Card data never touches our servers — it goes straight to Square. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data stays in your Square account — we just disconnect. We retain limited records (invoices, audit logs) per legal/tax requirements and delete the rest within 90 days of account closure.
