Will Square actually block under-age sales?

Yes — flag the SKUs as age-restricted and the POS hard-prompts the cashier to verify ID before the item finalizes. Reports give you an audit trail of every prompt for state inspections.

Can it handle wine vintages and case packs?

Yes. Use SKU variants (vintage, size, region) and configure case packs as their own SKU with a discount mapping to the bottle SKU. Receiving updates both counts.

What about lottery / cigarettes / WIC limitations?

Configure those SKUs to require manager approval, hard-prompt for ID where applicable, and exclude from loyalty earn. We help you set up the rules during onboarding.

Will Dual Pricing make sense for a liquor store?

Often yes — small per-swipe fees hurt high-AOV-but-low-margin SKUs (commodity beer especially). Duet's cash discount keeps the listed price as the card price; cash customers get an automatic discount. We'll model it against your actual sales mix before you commit.

Can I do online ordering / delivery in my state?

Depends on state and local law. We confirm what's permitted in your jurisdiction at onboarding and configure Square Online accordingly — pickup-only, delivery with age-on-delivery, or in-store-only.
